is the cyma m14 socom good for sniping?
can the cyma m14 socom go a long distance and is it accurate? also, is it a good sniper weapon? if u have any other suggestions about a good sniper rifle thats under 200$ let me know plz.
i have one, got it about a year ago, and i would say its AWSOME. the regular version would be better because of a longer barrel for increased accuracy.
one thing about this gun, its stock battery is a piece of CRAP. its a 4/5 size cell, dies fast, and works like a 7.2 volt even tho its not.
i got a rocket pack 8.4 nimh 4500 mah (i hate it when my battery dies) and a smart charger. if your not retarded then it should be easy to snugly fit the normal size battery in there (a bit of pushing, and i also put my fuse into an empty space in the stock above the battery compartment)
so with the new battery: this gun is awsome for its price, worth as much as any $300 gun, stock 6.04 mm barrel is great for sniping. i havent had any problems w/ my gun in the year ive had it (20000 rounds fired approx.) i use my gun as a DMR

head size target at up to 150 ft (no wind) (.20 g bb)
torso sized target at up to 200 ft (no wind) (.20 g bb)
less accurate on full auto (kik back?)
350 fps/ .20 g bb
durable – mostly metal (abs exterior, very few other plastic parts)
very easily upgradeable (compatable w/ many other brands)
final answer to Q: yes (in my opinion)
