how to change ps3 nat type to type 2?
Right now i am receiving a type 3 on my ps3 wireless connection. I have done what all the forums say to do and still i get the type 3. I have a netgear WNR834B wireless N router. I have opened all the ports they say open and nothing ever changes. does having the security on have anything to do with it? What can i do to fix this. I play socom confrontation and i get kicked out with a connection error everytime i play. anyone have any tips for me?
try putting your ps3 through a DMZ, i have a netgear router its a different model than yours so i dont know if its the same.
login into the router and on the left click “WAN Setup” which is under “advanced”
tick the box next to “Defult DMZ Server” and put in the ps3′s ip which you can find by going to (Settings>Network Settings>Settings and connection status list) on your ps3
