PS3 HDD wont download socom map packs I just bought, how do i get my money back??? I guess u need ps2 hdd?
i just figured since the ps3 had a built in hdd that they would be able to download..i guess i was wrong now i’m in the hole 5.99 for each of the map packs…what do i do???
You need to use a USB flash drive to save the maps on your PS3. You cannot download the map packs to the PS3 hard drive. It stinks, but that’s the way it works. Since the game is programmed for the PS2, it doesn’t recognize the PS3 hard drive. You can still save them to the PS2 hard drive.
Plug the flash drive into one of the ports on the front of your PS3 and it will work. That also means you have to plug in the flash drive to play the map packs too.
One tip… The only other thing you can have plugged into the USB ports is your mic headset. If you have a keyboard or anything else plugged in, unplug them or the PS3 may not “see” the flash drive.
