ps3 recommendation?
I got a summer job this summer and plan to buy a ps3.
I was wondering which ps3 would be good to buy
20 gig,40 gig, or the 80 gig
I have a few ps2 games I would still like to play online like ratchet dl,COD 3 and maybe socom
So which ps3 would allow me to play ps2 games but still let me use internet wireless or what would be best for the dollar
I probably would have 800 dollars from working by the 3rd week of june so want to know ahead of time.
OK heres the jist:
The 20GB version is discontinued: It’ll be hard to find.
The 40GB PS3 is a good entry level console however you sacrifice a lot of hardware to get a cheap deal -$399
Sacrifices are:
* 2 less USB Ports
* Crappy Chrome finish on disc tray
* Still no rumble in controller
* No Card Readers!
* No SACD support
* Cannot play any PS2 games (can play PS1?)
The 80GB relaunch model is probably the best deal as it can play 75%-80% of PS2 games at $499/$599.
In North America they’ll do a special bundle launch of the 80GB PS3 which’ll include dualshock 3 (rumble) and the most anticipated game of the year MSG4.
It’ll launch at June 12th so thats your best deal.
Gotta hurry though cuz when they launch, theres no guarantee that the 80GB PS3 or the bundle will still be around.
