for ps3 my call of duty does not work online but if i try out socom 3 for ps2 it works fine on my router.?
call of duty is for ps3 and socom is ps2. socom works but call of duty will not. i think its something with my router but not sure. anyone know whats goin on?
I’m able to play Socom and Call of Duty 4 just fine. You don’t have to buy anything for your PS3. If Socom is working online, then it’s clear your PS3 can connect to the internet and it’s not a router problem. The question is whether your PS3 can connect to the PlayStation Network.
I’m guessing you already created your PS3 account and have a PS3 name. Are you able to sign-on okay to see your friends list and access the PlayStation Store? Are you able to play other PS3 games online? If you’re having problems connecting here, it could be a system setting for the PS3 that needs to be updated. In your PS3 System menu, there’s an Internet Connection Test you can run to see if your PS3 can connect to the PlayStation Network. Try running it and see if it passes.
Again, I’m guessing you already have a PS3 account. You can’t play PS3 games online without first creating an account.
