“playstation 2″ + usb Mass storage device?

Can you hook a usb mass storage device to a ps2. If yes then how is it done. The Socom 3 website will only save new purchased maps to such a device, but i don’t know what device to try. I have external hard drive enclosures and a few extra 20 gig HD’s laying around can I format a drive with fat32 and then hook it up through one of the usb’s on the ps2? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that the playstation will recognize a USB flash drive, but I’m not 100% sure. If you have one laying around, give it a shot.
