SOCOM 16 Optics?

So I just bought a SOCOM 16, I would like to put some optics on it, but the scope rail gets REALLY REALLY hot. I am wondering what anyone with a SOCOM out there has on their rifle and how it works….. Thanks Ya’all…..

I think your optics would be safe when I was in the ARMY and I was the M249 SAW gunner the rail would heat up as well and we never had any problem with optics.At nite we would put a nite vision scope on it and we fired it alot at nite and the heat never bothered it.
