Springfield M1A Socom II?
I am thinking of picking up this gun. As an American citizen I believe owning this gun is almost my duty as an upstanding citizen. I definitely want to pick this piece up before the next presidency.
I know this gun is pretty much flawless. What are your guys thoughts on this piece? Is this a must have? Should I hold out for something else? Thanks for all your advice.
If you can afford it, it’s a damn fine rifle.
I personally don’t need or want all those tactical accessory rails, the standard SOCOM 16 would be fine for me…..or better the Scout Squad model, which has the bipod and an 18 inch barrel.
One potential disadvantage of the SOCOM models we are talking about here is the short 16 inch barrel, which reduces the effective range of the .308. Give me a few extra inches and extend that range a good bit farther.
