which M1a to buy?
Im going to be picking up an M1A soon, I like the socom 16 with the 16 inch barrel, I also like the scout with the 18 inch barrel, but I have an oppertunity to get an collector GI M14 style M1A, anybody have a preference and why?
I would personally go with the M14. For one reason, it is a quality firearm, built in the tradtion and patterned after the venerable M1 Garand from WWII, and still in use until the M14 debut in the early 60′s.
The second reason is because what in the hell are you going to do with a SOCOM 16? Are you going to hunt? Shoot for fun? Either way, their are easier and cheaper ways to do either one and still get a quality hi-powered rifle.
