OK, so once I am a Marine…?
So, I have some questions that I haven’t been able to get a straight answers to, and I figured I might as well do it all in one fell swoop.
Let’s say I enlist in the Marine Corps. After serving a standard four-year term of enlistment, I want to move on to SPECWAR/SOCOM.
Now, too many people just answer these questions by talking about dumb kids, telling them to go back to their video games because they’ll never make Special Forces. I’m not asking for your opinion on that matter. Let’s just say, for the sake of argument, that I can make it into any elite unit I choose.
After four years as a Marine, could I right away try for the SEALs or would I have to go through another four years in the Navy first? I could immediately try for Force Recon, but what is it exactly that they do? Is it more Green Ops or Black Ops?
And who, if anyone, besides Scout/Snipers are issued the M40A3?
Is is much easier to transfer into force recon than navy seals. Also it is best to stay in your branch than transfer over. It is not looked to kindly on within the military. Basically only scout/snipers use the m40a3, but there are scouts in force recon that use them too. Also if you want a shot at an elite forces group, then you should start physical training now. Everyone is about average in smarts (to a certain degree), but what will set you apart is how physically fit you are.
