Why can’t I play online with my PS3?
I can watch Netflix and my internet connection test says I have a 2.5 MBPS connection. But I can’t play games online. It completely fails when trying to connect to the servers. I’ve tried with several games. With Sports Champions it says “Cannot connect to leaderboard”. With the Socom 4 online beta it says “Error downloading data” and with Tiger Woods 12 it says “cannot connect to the EA servers at the time”…. Oh boy do I ever wish I didn’t buy this hunk of junk PS3 piece of crap….. can anyone tell me what might be wrong?
PSN servers are currently down due to emergency security procedures. This is due to Sony protecting PSN and the PS store from hackers as a group of hackers named ‘Anonymous’ have threatened to hack PSN. It should be back online in the next few hours, depending on where you live. Check the official playstation forums to keep up to date.
